1. Service overview

VMSSD provides cloud Mac rentals. You rent a dedicated physical Mac mini, not a virtual machine; for the duration of your rental, the entire machine is assigned to one customer. Connect remotely to use macOS with its graphical interface and command line for iOS builds, integration, testing and other work permitted under these terms.

Our service is available from 4 locations: Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul and Hong Kong. The available models are Mac mini M4 (16GB RAM / 256GB SSD) and Mac mini M4 Pro (64GB RAM / 2TB SSD). The console’s live availability and your order confirmation determine the models, locations, add-ons and actual availability for your rental.

Daily rentals suit one-off builds and delivery sprints. Teams planning sustained, high-intensity use that already have the capacity to manage their own hardware may want to compare the cost of buying with renting. Once your order is placed and payment is complete, your Mac is set up and ready to use that day. Find your connection details in the console. The service gives you remote use of the whole machine; ownership of the hardware does not transfer to you.

2. Billing and renewals

Choose from four billing periods: daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly. Prices for each model and add-on are shown on the plans page and in the order you confirm at checkout. Before paying, check the model, location, billing period, quantity and add-ons. Together, these determine your order total.

Renewing extends your rental; it does not create a long-term contract. If your project runs over, check the expiry date in the console and renew before it expires. The renewal is confirmed only when the console shows it as successful. Simply opening the payment page, starting a transfer or submitting an enquiry does not count as a completed renewal.

Your service stops at expiry unless you renew. There is no cancellation fee. Stopping use or finishing your project early does not shorten a confirmed billing period or automatically entitle you to a refund for unused time. If you spot a duplicate payment, an incorrect amount or another billing issue, keep your order and payment records and submit a ticket through the console for review.

Add your project end date and your machine’s expiry date to your schedule separately, and leave time to export your work. Expiry does not back up your data. If you need continued access to the machine, renew while your rental is still active; do not rely on access after the expiry date as part of your delivery plan.

3. Payment

We accept two payment methods only: USDT-TRC20 and Visa / Mastercard / Amex (via Stripe). All charges are in US dollars (USD). Available payment gateways are determined by the response from our backend; use the payment option shown at checkout for your order.

For USDT-TRC20 payments, check the network, recipient details and amount due shown for your order. Do not reuse payment details from another order or assume a transfer on a different network has paid this order. Card payments are processed by Stripe; your order status confirms whether payment is complete.

After paying, check the invoice and order status in the console. If you have paid but your order is not confirmed, do not make another payment before the first one has been checked. Submit a ticket with your order number, payment amount and verifiable transaction details. Never send your full card number, card security code or login password in a ticket or email.

4. Uptime commitment

VMSSD commits to 99.9% monthly uptime. Over a 30-day month, the remaining 0.1% amounts to approximately 43 minutes of downtime. Our locations operate year-round, 365 days a year. This percentage is a service commitment, not a claim about recorded historical uptime.

If your machine is not working properly, first note its ID, location, the start and end times of the issue, and what you observed. Submit a ticket in the console with relevant screenshots, error messages and troubleshooting steps you have already tried. Include the time zone with your timestamps so we can compare them with our service records and assess the impact.

If our review confirms a service-side issue and the downtime exceeds the monthly allowance, we will extend your rental in proportion to the excess downtime. Claims are reviewed per affected machine. We will explain the findings and any extension through your support ticket. Compensation under this commitment is provided as additional service time, not as cash or credit toward another order.

Issues caused by your actions, project configuration, device or network connection, as well as disruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control, are not counted as service-side downtime. If the cause is unclear, you can still submit a ticket to document the issue so both parties can review the connection symptoms alongside the service records.

5. Acceptable use

You must use the service in accordance with applicable laws, project permissions and software licences. You may not store or distribute illegal content, send spam, commit fraud, steal data, distribute malware, or attack, scan or disrupt systems or networks without authorisation.

Security testing may target only systems you own or are expressly authorised to test. Renting a dedicated physical machine does not extend your authorisation to other systems. You may not bypass platform access controls, attempt to access another customer’s data or give others unauthorised access to the console.

If your studio builds and tests software for a client, make sure you have permission to use the client’s code, assets, dependencies and certificates. If you notice unusual access, exposed credentials or suspected misuse, stop the relevant work promptly and share the necessary details through a console ticket or at support@vmssd.com.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for obtaining and managing the developer credentials, software licences, signing certificates, provisioning profiles, source code and assets your project requires. Renting a machine does not include applying for developer credentials on your behalf, obtaining software licences for you or guaranteeing app approval. Build and review outcomes depend on your project and the applicable requirements.

Keep your console account, machine credentials and certificate private keys secure, and grant access only to team members who need it for the project. If you deliver work for multiple clients, consider renting a separate machine for each client to keep code and certificates separate. When switching projects on one machine, check user directories, keychains, caches and output paths yourself.

You are responsible for backing up source code, signing materials, build outputs and configuration files. Export them to storage you control while your rental is active, and check that the files are complete and recoverable. Do not treat the only copy on a rented machine as a long-term archive or wait until after expiry to export it.

When requesting troubleshooting help, share only the minimum information needed and, where possible, remove sensitive details from logs first. If we need to access files on your machine, specify the scope of your authorisation in the ticket. For requests involving the handling or deletion of personal information, also see our Privacy Policy.

7. Suspension and termination

If your rental expires without renewal, the machine stops running. Before the machine is assigned again, its system is cleaned. Code, certificates, caches and build outputs in the previous rental environment are not retained for later recovery. To keep your project environment, renew before expiry; to wrap up your project, export and back up your files first.

VMSSD may restrict activity, suspend or terminate affected services if you breach the acceptable use rules, put service security at risk or if action is required by law. Where necessary to limit harm, security measures may be taken before notice is given. You can follow up through a console ticket to review the reason and scope of the action.

If you disagree with a suspension or termination, request a review and include your order number, machine ID and a factual explanation. Whether a stopped service can be restored depends on the order status, the outcome of any security review and whether the machine has already been cleaned. Do not assume the original environment will be kept. If you are switching clients or need a fresh environment, you can ask about a system reinstall through a support ticket.

8. Liability, changes and disputes

VMSSD provides the machine use service specified in your confirmed order and handles billing reviews and uptime claims under these terms. We do not guarantee build times for a particular project, app review outcomes or commercial delivery results for your project. If an issue threatens a delivery, document it promptly and submit a ticket so we can establish what happened and how to address it.

Each party is responsible, under applicable law, for losses caused by its own breach or fault. An extension under the uptime commitment does not exclude any rights provided by applicable law. These terms do not limit liability where such a limitation is prohibited by law. Claims for losses must be supported by verifiable facts, evidence of causation and a basis for the amount claimed.

Updates to these terms will be published on this page. Any significant rules affecting a future order or renewal will be available for you to review before confirming the transaction. An update to this page alone will not retroactively change the essential terms of an order already confirmed. If you have questions about an update, check with us through a console ticket or at support@vmssd.com before placing or renewing an order.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the platform operator is based. The parties will first try to resolve disputes by discussion through a support ticket or email. If they cannot reach an agreement, disputes will be submitted to a court with jurisdiction in that jurisdiction.
