1. Scope
This policy covers information processed when you visit vmssd.com or use the VMSSD portal to create an account, rent a Cloud Mac, make a payment, manage an order or submit a support request. The same data-handling principles apply whether you rent by the day, week, month or quarter.
This policy distinguishes between two types of information: account, order and support records needed to provide the service, and the code, certificates, assets and build artifacts you store on your dedicated physical machine. Renting a whole machine does not give us permission to view your project files. See Section 4 for details about access.
Before uploading project materials on a client's behalf, studios should confirm they have the necessary authority to process them and agree with their client on backups, authorised access and deletion after delivery. This policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the platform operator is established. Any dispute will be handled by a court with jurisdiction in that same jurisdiction.
2. Information we collect
Account email: We use it to identify your account, verify it, send notices about account security and rental services, and confirm privacy requests. Use an email address you can continue to access. Never share your password or verification code in a public enquiry.
Order and billing records: These include your selected machine and node, rental period, add-ons, order total, payment status and renewal history. We use this information to provision your service, confirm its term, issue billing records and resolve payment disputes. We do not need your complete project source code for these purposes.
Support requests: These may include the issue you report, machine number, affected time period, and any attachments or screenshots you provide. When reporting a problem, share error details and steps to reproduce it where possible. Redact client information, access tokens, certificate passwords and other sensitive details from screenshots.
Necessary access logs: These may include IP address, access time, request path, browser information and error records. We use them to protect accounts, identify unusual requests and investigate service issues. Collecting website access logs does not automatically give us access to files on your machine.
3. Payments
We accept USDT-TRC20 and Visa / Mastercard / Amex card payments processed by Stripe. All payments are settled in US dollars (USD). The payment gateways available at checkout are determined by the results returned by the payment interface.
Stripe processes card payments. VMSSD does not store full card numbers. We use payment results and transaction identifiers related to your order for billing, reconciliation and payment support. Do not send full card numbers or card security codes by email, in a support request or in a screenshot.
For USDT-TRC20 payments, we record only the transaction hash and amount needed to reconcile the order. On-chain transactions are publicly viewable. Deleting your VMSSD account or submitting a deletion request cannot change transaction records already stored on the blockchain.
Information needed to process a payment is used as part of the process involving the relevant payment processor. If you have a payment issue, provide your order number and any necessary transaction proof. Never share your wallet private key, recovery phrase or bank account login credentials.
4. Data on your machine
During your rental, customer code, signing certificates, keychain contents, test assets and build artifacts on your dedicated physical Mac mini belong to you. Each machine is assigned to one customer at a time; it is not a virtual machine sharing a system with other tenants.
We do not access these project files unless you explicitly authorise troubleshooting through a support request in the portal. If you do, specify the machine, issue, directories or logs we may view, and actions we may take. Authorising a specific troubleshooting task does not give us permission to keep viewing other customer projects.
If troubleshooting requires access beyond the original authorisation, we will ask you to confirm it in the support request first. You can use the same request to ask us to stop further authorised work. Where source code, private keys or client information are not needed, share redacted logs or a minimal reproduction project instead.
If your studio delivers projects for multiple clients, you can rent a separate machine for each client to keep certificates and code separate. When switching projects on one machine, manage system user permissions, project directories and keychains yourself, and export and clean up your data before moving to another client. A dedicated machine does not replace the need to manage your team's access permissions.
5. When your rental ends
Your machine stops when your rental expires unless you renew. Before the service period ends, export any source code changes, build artifacts, signing certificates, configuration files and other project materials you want to keep to storage you control. Check that the exported files are usable. Your rental does not include a backup service.
Before a machine is assigned to another customer, we clean its system. The previous customer's project directories, certificates and other usage data are not kept as part of the next deployment. The next customer will not inherit the previous customer's working environment.
Do not use an expired machine as long-term storage or assume that starting a new rental will restore your previous environment. If your project needs more time, sign in to the portal and confirm your renewal before the rental expires. If your rental has already expired or you need to check how your data was handled, submit a support request with the machine number and order details.
Cleaning data from a machine and retaining account records are separate processes. After system cleanup, order, payment and support records needed for billing, security reviews or dispute resolution are handled according to the principles in the next section.
6. Retention and deletion requests
We keep your account email for as long as needed to provide your account services. Order and payment records are retained as required for billing, reconciliation and applicable legal requirements. Support requests are kept as needed to resolve issues and related disputes. Necessary access logs are kept as needed for security investigations. Retention periods vary by information type; we do not keep information indefinitely just in case it might be useful later.
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or ask to close your account, by emailing support@vmssd.com or signing in to the portal and submitting a support request. Include your account email, the type of request and any relevant order number. Do not include passwords, verification codes or project private keys.
To prevent someone else from using your identity to delete your information, we will first verify your connection to the account. If a studio member submits a request on a client's behalf, we may also need to confirm their authority to act. We will only ask for information necessary to process the request.
If records relate to an active order, an unresolved dispute or a legal retention requirement, we may not be able to delete them immediately. We will explain which categories of information need to be retained and why, and limit their use to the relevant purposes. Closing your account or requesting data deletion does not automatically cancel an active rental order, and it cannot reverse an on-chain transaction that has already been published.
7. Cookies and analytics
The website and portal may use cookies or similar local storage to maintain sign-in sessions, protect requests and remember essential interface preferences. These mechanisms support website use; they are not used to read project files stored on your Cloud Mac.
We use same-domain analytics to understand page visits, clicks on rental entry points and common user journeys so we can improve our content and user experience. Analytics events should not contain passwords, verification codes, signing private keys or complete project code. Do not enter this information into public page fields or URL parameters.
You can check, restrict or clear cookies and website storage in your browser settings. Clearing sign-in data may mean you need to sign in again. Blocking essential storage may prevent the portal from working properly. To ask how information related to your account is handled, use the contact details in Section 8.
8. Contact and updates
Send privacy enquiries, correction or deletion requests, questions about access to project data, and security reports to support@vmssd.com. For questions about an existing rental, we recommend signing in to the portal and submitting a support request so we can link it to the relevant machine and order records.
Use a brief subject line that describes your request. In the message, include your account email, the relevant machine or order, and what you would like us to do. Redact other customers' information before sharing it. If we need to verify anything further, we will contact you through one of the channels above.
We will publish any changes to this policy on this page. If a change affects the purposes for which we process account information, the limits on access to customer data or your rights, we will notify you through your account email or the portal and seek confirmation where required. You can review this page before providing new information or starting another rental.
